A legal disclaimer

This is a hazardous sport!

 

All users must have a signed waiver on file.  Participants under 18 must have a waiver signed by parent or legal guardian. Proper I.D. is required.

  3. The act of skating may expose the user to serious injury or death, including but not limited to broken bones or paralysis.

  4. Participation is at your own risk. Know your own abilities and limits.

  5. All minor riders must wear an ANSI-approved helmet preferably with MIPS with securely fastened chinstrap. Only adults who ride quad skate or in-line skates may opt-out of wearing a helmet. We strongly recommend that all users wear helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. 

  6. Parental supervision is strongly recommended for riders age 13 and under and adult supervision is required for those ages 9 and under.

  7. Inspect all surfaces before use.

  8. No skating on structures not specifically designed for that purpose.

  9. Absolutely no alcohol, smoking, drugs or profanity allowed in any way.

  10. Rollerina Skate Co. reserves the right to restrict participation from any individual and ask individuals to leave without refund if these guidelines are not followed or unsafe behavior is observed.

 

Florida State Statute

Any person who participates in or assists in quad skating or in-line skating assumes the known and unknown inherent risks in these activities irrespective of age, and is legally responsible for all damages, injury or death to himself or herself or other persons or property which result from these activities.  Any person who observes skating assumes the known and unknown in the inherent risks in these activities irrespective of age and is legally responsible for all damages, injury or death to himself or herself which result from these activities.

Equipment and Personal Responsibility

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their skates, helmets, and protective equipment are properly fitted, maintained, and in safe working condition before participating. Participants should skate only within their own skill level and avoid maneuvers beyond their abilities. Reckless, dangerous, or disruptive behavior may result in removal from the event at the discretion of Rollerina Skate Co. or the Chapter Leader.

  • Weather: Outdoor events may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to weather or unsafe conditions.

  • Photography: "By attending, participants acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken and used for promotional purposes unless they notify the event organizer otherwise."

  • Personal Property: Rollerina Skate Co. is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

  • Compliance with Instructions: Participants must follow all instructions from Chapter Leaders and volunteers.

  • Medical Fitness: Participants are responsible for determining that they are physically able to participate and should not skate while impaired by alcohol, drugs, illness, or any medical condition that could make participation unsafe.

  • Children: Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising minors and ensuring they comply with all rules.

  • Surface and Venue Conditions: Outdoor surfaces may contain cracks, debris, wet areas, uneven pavement, or other hazards. Conditions can change without notice.

WhatsApp Group Chat

Our WhatsApp group is invitation only, and we make every effort to verify members before they are added. However, as with any group chat, it is a shared public space among participants, and Rollerina Skate Co. has limited control over the content posted by members.

Please use the group respectfully and appropriately. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, threats, spam, illegal content, or other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the group and/or future events.

If you see content that is inappropriate or violates these guidelines, please report it to a Chapter Leader or administrator as soon as possible so it can be reviewed and removed, where possible.

By participating in the group, you acknowledge that messages, photos, and other content shared by members may be visible to all participants. Please avoid sharing confidential, sensitive, or personal information that you would not want others in the group to see.

Emergency Response

Chapter Leaders and volunteers are not medical professionals. In the event of an accident, injury, or suspected medical emergency, they will use their best judgment to respond appropriately. If they reasonably believe emergency medical assistance is required, they may call 911 without first obtaining consent from the participant or their emergency contact.

Participants are responsible for ensuring their emergency contact information is current and that their emergency contact is aware of the participant's medical preferences and any relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, or other information that may assist emergency responders.
